I purchased furniture from Article, and although the item arrived, it was delivered in unsafe and unacceptable condition. The outside of the box looked normal, but once we removed the furniture and broke the box down for disposal, we discovered the entire bottom of the packaging was covered in mold.

Mold contamination is a health and safety hazard and indicates improper storage conditions. I reported this to the company, but customer service treated the issue as minor and offered only two options: return the item (requiring me to re-handle mold-contaminated packaging) or accept a replacement likely stored in the same warehouse. Neither option addresses the underlying safety issue or provides an adequate remedy.

The company failed to deliver the product in safe condition, and their proposed solutions place an additional burden and health risk on me. I have photos documenting the mold.

Loss:
$662

Preferred solution: I want a full refund without further hassle. The packaging was mold-contaminated and has already been discarded for safety. I want acknowledgment that the item was delivered in an unsanitary condition and assurance this issue will be addressed.
